What Guests Are Saying
Plaskett Creek Campground offers a beautiful, peaceful setting just a short walk from Sand Dollar Beach, making it a great spot for camping. Many visitors praised the friendly camp hosts and the spacious, scenic environment, ideal for families and pets. However, the campground faces criticism due to the lack of potable water and restroom facilities, with porta potties being the only option, which some found unsatisfactory.

The camp host at Plaskett creek (the guy with the Pug dog) was super nice.

Camp hosts were very welcoming, friendly and accommodating. The pit toilet bathroom in our group site was cleaned and they also made rounds in the evening with bundles of firewood. The hiway 1 closure from the north made it less crowded. We had a great time.

Beautiful and quiet! The host is amazing super nice and funny and gave us some great recommendations for hiking nearby. Not big on actual campgrounds I prefer dispersed camping with nobody around but this place is awesome 10/10

This is a beautiful area. We enjoyed biking up Highway 1. We have solar panels on the RV. The host let us move to a sunny spot for the last two days (of four).

This is a beautiful, well maintained campground with great hosts. However, the water was off in the bathroom sinks and dishwashing areas.
Sand Dollar day use area is practically across the road and is a must see. It would be nice if there was a trail to it where you didn’t have to walk on the highway. If the water was on in the bathrooms (portability issues) it’s a five star experience.
