What Guests Are Saying
Plaskett Creek Campground offers a beautiful, peaceful setting just a short walk from Sand Dollar Beach, making it a great spot for camping. Many visitors praised the friendly camp hosts and the spacious, scenic environment, ideal for families and pets. However, the campground faces criticism due to the lack of potable water and restroom facilities, with porta potties being the only option, which some found unsatisfactory.

Beautiful campsite with good trails and sunset views. Kind, helpful campground staff. Bathrooms were under repair and several portables were in place.

I read several negative statements about the Camp Host. I sincerely have no idea what they are talking about. I found the Host to be friendly, courteous and helpful. Not to mention this was the cleanest camp I have ever been to, very well maintained. And the ports-potty’s were all clean, smelled great and looked to be serviced on a tight schedule. Great campsite. I will definitely be going back.

This was my third stay at Plaskett and not my last. The location is world class and the overall feel for the campground is that it's open, green, and quiet. Guests have always been respectful of the noise and it was quiet all day and night long. The one downfall this visit was that the toilets weren't working at least at one end of the campground and we were reduced to using portable toilets. That failed to dampen the overall experience though. Water worked great, firewood was plentiful and supplied by a cheerful and helpful host. Already have a return booked in a couple weeks and more next year... one of my fave campsites anywhere.

This was our first time camping in Big Sur and we loved the campground. So spacious, green, and grassy. The only downside were the portable toilets. However they were well maintained and clean. Will definitely be coming back.
