What Guests Are Saying
Four Jeffrey Campground offers a beautiful setting in the Sierras with immaculate sites and exceptional management. Camp hosts are friendly, helpful, and maintain clean facilities, including well-kept restrooms. While there is limited shade and some concerns about bees and smoke, many guests appreciate the campground's cleanliness and proximity to hiking and fishing opportunities.

Our reservation was for the night of Sept. 7--an hour before our arrival, late in the afternoon, we received a call canceling our reservation because the Forest Service had decided that day to close the surrounding national forest because of the fires. Ok so fine, though letting us know that morning might have saved us and everyone else the long drive from LA, but then Recreation.gov never refunded my prepaid fee. That should have been automatic.

This campground is in a beautiful location. I had a site in the wooded area (some sites are exposed). It was loud on a Friday and Saturday night, until about 9:30 PM. The camp host was friendly and helpful. I will go back, but on weekdays.

Enjoyed our stay here, and the sound of running water right by our campsite!

We all had a great time, the camp ground was clean, the restrooms were very clean, the ground keeper's were very nice and informative. Coming back next year for sure.

The campsite was beautiful and the hosts were very helpful and friendly. My biggest complaint is the first come first serve system. We had reservations for the first night but not the second night. I woke up at 6 am to run through all four loops to see which campers were going to leave. I was relieved to find a beautiful site as I paid it promptly and we moved over to the new site when the kids woke up. We were disappointed to learn the reservation card was not updated on time and we could not stay there, leaving us with zero campsites and two very bummed out young kids that wanted to just go home. After another wasted hour of running around asking campers if they were going to leave, the host told us she was going to start revoking reserved tags for sites that haven't been paid. We got lucky but it took me six hours to finally establish a campsite and get settled down. We should have been hiking, fishing, or paddling at Lake Sabrina instead
This is a complete waste of time for the hosts, makes camping stressful, and puts a lot of pressure on the family since this campsite is pretty much 4-6 hours away from anywhere. I understand the need for first come first serve but it shouldn't be the majority of the sites here. The game of figuring out the unwritten rules of first come first serve and bothering people at their campsites is just ridiculous. I won't be back until they come up with a better system.

The campground host was very helpful in directing us to the best campsites and allowed us to change our reserved site to an open campsite that was beautiful.
