Pack up your stuff because there's bears here every year.

The campground is very nice, but be aware if you reserve site 38 or 39 that they are VERY close together. The tent spot for 38 is about 5 ft from the picnic table at site 39.We had overflow of children from 38 all around us at our site 39. The two sites really should be resrved as a double site.
We wound up moving to, and paying for, a first come first serve site. Unfortunately, we could not get a refund for 39, so we left it to the large group from site 38 that took it over when we moved out.

This is one of our favorite campgrounds and we’ve been going for years. The lake is gorgeous, the bathrooms are excellent. Campsites are not huge but adequate. But - We were always told by the camp hosts that the reason there aren’t bear boxes is that they’ve never had bear issues. That’s not the case this year. This year sleep was interrupted constantly by people sounding car alarms and air horns to scare away bears, and while no bears broke into our car (where they tell you to put your food), that seems like a scary risk to take at a campground. They need to install bear boxes - that way people won’t be scared about bears breaking into cars, the bears won’t be likely to hang around the campground from 8pm to 6am, and then campers won’t be sounding air horns all night.

Our stay at Grasshopper was very relaxing and enjoyable. Be prepared for bear activity. Our camp host was friendly and helpful.

The campsite was spacious! Camp host available and very friendly. Walking around was very peaceful and beautiful! I look forward to our next visit

We loved our time at Lake Davis. Our camp host Patti was so hospitable and kind. The management company did a great job finding her.
Currently there are no bear boxes, so a bear would come to the campsites nightly and look for food (and even took a French press from someone). I hear they may be getting bear boxes at the end of the season!! Woohoo! Enjoy this beautiful place!

Bears every night

Nice campground. Campground as well as restrooms were very clean.

Always a good time, but it would be nice if they put an actual hose bibb at that spot. The flapper leaks and is difficult to use an adapter. Its a group site so being able to re-fill without having to leave the campground would be nice. Other than that it's a good spot. Very much level, easy access to the lake and no campsites immediately adjacent.
