What Guests Are Saying
Lightning Tree is praised for its peaceful atmosphere, beautiful views, and friendly, attentive camp host, Steven. Many visitors appreciate the cleanliness of the campsites and bathrooms, as well as the spaciousness between sites, making it a favorite camping destination. However, some reviewers noted minor issues like trash around campsites, poorly maintained picnic tables, and a lack of regular upkeep, which could detract from the overall experience.

Such a nice campground, it’s kept clean and the biking paths are kept up as well. Definitely go to the little store to pick up some bait for Bass fishing, they are very knowledgeable about where the fish are biting. Take a drive around the lake or check out Smith Peak Lookout.

Tony the camphost was amazing. There was hardly anyone camping, and Sunday night we had the whole campground to ourselves. Love this campsite and will be coming back!.
Space 31 August 28-31.

We love this site and are always happy to see that campers before us respect the proper camping etiquette.
Whole new gang of campers this season due to COVID 19 and it’s not always a good thing!

This campground was empty except for a couple campers and the host. Very surprising for the middle of August. It is near Lake Davis, a beautiful big lake. No motorboats are allowed which kept it quiet. We brought our canoe and it was a perfect lake for it.
We had a great time! The host let us chose any campsite we wanted even though we had a reservation.

We love Lightning Tree Camp Ground, and go there regularly during the summer. The only improvements I'd suggest is to ad BEAR BOXES and WiFi. Thanks!
