i love love love this place! absolutely gorgeous, the swimming hole was amazing, and Sue was such a kind camp host! it was very quiet and peaceful.
me and my friends had a great time at the swimming hole. the trail to get there is unmarked, but the camp host showed us where to go. i'm not sure if there's another way to get down, but it's very steep to get down to the bottom.
i was a bit worried about the drive up to the campsite since there were some reviews saying it's hard to drive on, but it was fine with my old minivan. ~5 mi windy road with lots of massive potholes, but it was pretty easy to drive around. the bathrooms weren't THAT bad. when we got there they were emptying the bathroom waste and the wind was blowing the smell towards us, which was pretty disgusting.

Having a camp host makes all the difference in the world! We last came here 3 years ago and had a terrible time as the group next to us had over 20 people in the campsite, cars parked all over and playing music all night! No camp host present that year. This year was quiet and peaceful, people respectful and we had a great time! The camp host was present, went around and checked on things and managed it very well. Thank you!

Very small campground, but beautiful location. There is a 5 mi, windy, gravel road to get in, so be prepared for that.

The campsite was great as always. However the camp host was extremely rude. She was hounding us while we set up our campsite to move our cars, which we did and were going to do anyway. Saying “wow you’re slow aren’t you.” On our second day she returned to imply that we are alcoholics saying “where’d you go another beer run.” We were there for a fishing trip with my father, cousins and uncle. Most of us don’t even drink and none of us were unruly. Hopefully you can hire a more friendly host.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Fires & fuel
- Campfires and charcoal fires may be restricted during hot, dry weather. Contact the ranger district for updates.
Fees & deposits
- An additional $5 fee is charged per day for the second vehicle in single family campsites and for the third and fourth vehicles in double family campsites.

- North Fork Campground is located on the Tahoe National Forest; this is not Forks Campground on the Sierra National Forest

- A no-show is defined as not arriving or canceling by specified times. Staffed facilities may hold sites until check-out time for no-show customers.
