The bathrooms were pretty stinky but the swimming hole made it worth it!
Your a long ways from a store of any kind, so get everything you need before you leave H80.
Watch out for the logging trucks. They drive fast and take up most of the road.

I LOVE this campground. Huge sites could easily fit 3 tents. The waterfall and swimming hole is about a 5-10 min walk from the back of the campsites. Bring water shoes or sneakers you don't mind getting wet. The bathrooms and site overall was serviced nearly every day by park staff while I was there. The only thing is that many people come to the falls just for the day and park on the road going up from the campsite. If you don't want people walking through your campsite to get to the trail or restroom, grab a site next to the river/stream, not the road.

Campsite is a major passthrough off the main road, creating excessive dust and other issues. Since it's near the Sacramento valley some campers ignore etiquette and signage, leaving leftovers near water point etcetera. Otherwise a great great 👍 area.

This is a great campground. It's pretty small so there aren't a ton of people and the sites are all pretty nicely spaced out. If you can grab a site next to the river, that's ideal. There's access to a waterfall and swimming hole from the campground (though I've never actually checked it out). The road getting there is all paved but very narrow at times. Very enjoyable though, I try to go here once a year and always try to grab the same spot.

We loved the swimming holes near N fork campground. The campground has sights right along the river and it was very quiet. We'll be back!

Our campsite was right on the river, which our kids enjoyed and North Fork Falls are magic. We visited the falls in the morning and had the place pretty much to ourselves. The water was frosty in early August, but there's nothing like swimming right up to a waterfall!! Be careful jumping in though, we once saw a guy jump from too high, hit the rocks on his way down and catastrophically break his foot. I'm still scarred from witnessing that. I do wish the campsites were spaced out a little more, there's not much privacy from your neighbors but that's a minor issue.

Such a beautiful campground - pristine, beautiful forest with ferns, berries, and an incredible river and waterfall. Well-maintained campsites.

I love camping here. It's so peaceful. Campsites are just far enough away that you don't hear your neighbors. Bathrooms were much cleaner this time also; less bugs.

Though the campground is pretty dusty (bring boots or uggs if you want clean feet or ignore duty flip flopped feet), other than that, it's a fabulous campground next to river. Very sweet. There weren't even the typical yellow jackets around dinner time. Great stars if you walk up to the meadow about 1/4 mile along the road. Most beautiful is the river and swimming hole. Shhh...don't tell people about this place!
