What Guests Are Saying
Furnace Creek Campground is well-maintained with clean bathroom facilities and spacious sites, making it a great choice for campers. Many visitors appreciated the proximity to major attractions and the helpful staff. However, some noted that the sites can be close together and suggested a need for more electric hookups for comfort during hot weather.

This is a lovely campground. The camp host I met were very nice. There are many sites to see while in Furnace Creek. I highly recommend Mosaic Canyon Trail, Golden Canyon Trail, Titus Canyon Narrows, Fall Canyon Trailhead. If you'r a golfer the Furnace Creek Golf Course is a fun place to play.

The park rangers are just there for the paycheck. We had campers next to us doing their laundry with a portable washing machine. They were dumping the water right into the creek bed that flowed through the campground. They were also dumping their RO wastewater in the same creek. We went and told the park rangers, and they did nothing. The neighbors did their laundry everyday polluting the ground without a care in the world.
People run their RV motors and generator outside of the regulated time window and the very same rangers and site hosts do not care. So, if you like camping at a clean and respectable campground this place is not for you. If you like to trash the place and act like you are camping at a frat party, then this campground is perfect for your disrespectful intentions.
As a side note, there was a storm that came through and knocked out the power (no fault of the NPS). It was out most of the day and the park was not charged for power consumption since there was no power, yet every camper was still charged the same electrical service fee for the day even though it was not impossible to assess electricity.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CAMPGROUND

I had an adventure filled couple of nights in the tents only section at Furnace Creek. The check in was efficient and friendly. The campground was clean and welcoming. As things were not too crowded, the rangers allowed me to swap sites upon my arrival, which was cool. The first night saw some pretty torrential rain, which was novel. The most impressive part of the stay came the second night when the winds that powered the Southern California fires came blowing through camp. It was an impressive amount of wind. I ended up leaving in the evening when the winds hit 60mph. While I didn’t ask for a refund for the second night, I was given a refund, in any case. What a lovely and thoughtful gesture on the part of the park and recreation.gov. I am now a lifelong fan and will be singing your praises out in the world! Thank you!!

Despite the extreme wind event occurring, we had a very nice campsite. No complaints. Wifi available at the visitor center and at restaurants at the ranch.
