What Guests Are Saying
Furnace Creek Campground is well-maintained with clean bathroom facilities and spacious sites, making it a great choice for campers. Many visitors appreciated the proximity to major attractions and the helpful staff. However, some noted that the sites can be close together and suggested a need for more electric hookups for comfort during hot weather.

The site was difficult to determine where to park, but the restrooms were clean and close by. The trash bins were far away and there was a lot of foot traffic at our site.

Our walk-in site was a bit awkward as it required us to walk around or through another site. Otherwise everything was fine.

It was a very comfortable place to stay. However, at other parks, I’ve stayed out they’ve given warnings if there’s bad things around. Twice a coyote ran right through the middle of the park right behind are actually between our campsite and another campsite. When a coyote went through people would scream coyote real loud so people knew there was a coyote. I’d suggest all parks give warnings if there’s coyotes skunks bad things that frequent their RV spot. This is the third time I’ve been to furnace Creek in the third time I’ve seen coyotes in the RV park once I was in the temp park and a coyote basically ran right behind a jackrabbit that was running for its life and ran right through our chair ring where we were all sitting. Just a simple yellow piece of paper that says please beware coyotes come in campsite frequently. If you see one scream coyote, so all people can pay attention to their dogs. This was dictated sorry if it’s rambling.

Great location with easy access to gas, amenities, and hikes! Perfect spot for stargazing, and our campsite had plenty of shade later in the day. Would definitely come here in the winter/early spring again!

The campers kept gong back to the car, created noise all night long. Otherwise it was nice camp ground and easy access to a lot of your site and hiking trails.

Overall, it’s good. However, it doesn’t have shade while the units on the left do. It’s also a bit far from the trash cans. The driveway is somewhat short— even if the first car is pulled all the way forward onto the unpaved area, the second car’s tail may still hang out onto the road. There is separate parking nearby, though.

We hiked both Desolation Canyon and Artists Pallet this visit. Quite fun to hike new places. I can also recommend Mosaic Canyon as an incredible hike. The campground is quiet even though it was fairly full. Love the warm weather in winter time. Beautiful scenery and helpful staff
