Campgrounds were great, really well maintained, and had all the amenities I would hope for. The employees that we interacted with were all super friendly and helpful. The only problem was the yellow jackets. They came swarming anytime we brought out any food or drink and they were somewhat aggressive. We didnβt get stung, but they did buzz around us a lot which freaked out the kids. Other than that everything was great, but it made quite an impact on our experience. We are considering coming back at another time of the year when they arenβt as active, or possibly bringing a deterrent of some sort.

We enjoyed our stay at Dogwood. The staff were very friendly! The amenities are well maintained. This is a great location for enjoying the outdoors! We will be back!

Weβve been to Dogwood many times now and love the showers and flush toilets. Showers arenβt an additional cost and are separate from the restrooms. Restrooms have a flush toilet and a sink with soap. This specific site was nice, but just close to the neighbors. If the neighbors are talking loudly after quest hours, you will hear it. This site had two nice flat areas for tents. One for a smaller tent under some trees and another right behind the bear bin. Not too many bugs at this time (July). There were some wasps but not enough for us to put up the netted shade cover. We have AT&T and were able to have 2 bars. The parking spot is tricky for two cars. Looks like only one car could fit but we were able to squeeze a minivan and an SUV there legally.

The camp hosts were super nice! The campground is beautiful! My campsite was quite and not far from a restroom. Not much vehicle traffic too. There were a few little hiking trails on the perimeter of the campground. I do wish there was better signage for hiking trails near and around the campground (I might have wondered behind or on someone's private property not unknowingly). Overall, had a great time and highly recommend this campground.

Great site. Good for one RV and one car for tent camping. Total of 2 families with 8 people. Shaded and spacious. Flat area for both vehicles to park, very level.

In accordance with standard industry practices, Mountain Top Recreation will be assessing a $8 additional vehicle fee per night on the second vehicle in each single family campsite, and on the third and fourth vehicles in any double family campsite, provided these vehicles are not joined to the first vehicle by a hitch and towed onto the site. In the case of motorcycles, the first two are considered to be one vehicle and the third and fourth are also considered to be one vehicle. No additional vehicle fees are collected for bicycles. |
