I stayed one night. Stayed at site #3. Which is like an afterthought for a camp site. Right next to me was 11 people. 4 adults and 7 kids. They ran through my site all night long scream until well past quiet time. Woke me up at 6am screaming. Not fun.

Campground was clean. Everyone was respectful of each other's space. Beautiful scenic mountain views just a small uphill path from my campsite. Crafts Peak Trailhead conveniently right by the campsite. I will come again.

Most camp sites have good space between and large trees to shade. Bathrooms were clean. We had a good time.

Overall it was a nice campground with a friendly host and decent bathrooms. We were surprised to find that it was in a residential area. We stayed in campsite 26 which was huge and pretty private. Our trip wasn’t as peaceful as we’d hoped. Unfortunately this site is in between residential properties with a very yappy dog (barks for hours) and a firewood business - get your firewood from next door, it’s a great deal! Also some rowdy campers nearby for the 4th of July but that’s not the campground’s fault. First time in Green Valley Lake and we enjoyed scenic hiking, and the dogs loved swimming at the lake - beautiful little hidden town. Not sure if we’d come back, but overall a good camping trip.

We stayed in mid July 2020 and the Camp Hosts were great. They have plenty of firewood for sale there. The grounds and bathrooms were clean and there is plenty of shade. Hiking tails connect to the campground.

The Campsite is very beautiful, quiet, and clean. The Host lady Cindy is very friendly and informative about the surrounding area. Super +++ for the cleanness of the restroom. a perfect getaway place for hot summer days. I will definitely go again!

Site 029 was a lovely little lot near a water spigot and the bathrooms. We were adequately spaced away from the neighboring sites, but unfortunately within full view of the road and the site across the road (site 52 or 53). 029 backs up to the tree line that separates the campground from a residential property, which means you have a little forest to your back and the other sites to your front. For us, that’s the ideal set up, making the site feel more secure. We were able to fit 3 small tents within the site boundaries and 2 cars in the driveway. The area was under a grove of pines and provided shade throughout the day, which we were grateful for. You don’t need an easy up canopy for this site. It is more of a long/ narrow site, but one of the most shaded and private that we could see in the whole East campground. The bathrooms were well kept and stocked, and the camp hosts were friendly. Camp hosts sell firewood for $10/bundle cash only, but also informed us that the guy living next to the campgrounds sells a wheelbarrow full of firewood for $10 cash. Don’t buy wood in Running Springs!

Green Valley Lake was just a quick 5 min car ride away or a 1+ mile walk away, and very pleasant to visit. It’s not open for swimming, playground is closed, and most shops also close early, but still an enjoyable area to check out. If you’re camping with your dog(s), the lake had a dog play area where they can splash around. Don’t forget a ball or toy! Will definitely visit again.
