For a last minute Campsite it was fair. Didn't like that the restrooms were not too well kept on a daily but they were close to the site. Campsite # 19 had a bit of a slope. If you put your tent under the trees be ready to be have caterpillars all over it and of course spiders 🕷 (yes you are in the wilderness). T-Mobile and Verizon had good service.

Remember to bring a shovel so you can level your tent area. The land is sloped and the shovel helped a bit. Some rocks could not be moved though.
Also keep in mind you may have to walk through other camp sites to get to your car or the bathroom. So, going with groups of friends is a good idea.
All in all, we had a great time. I like that we had access to the local shops if we needed anything. The hiking was great and there is a lovely park behind the hospital as well. It was beautiful!!

The campground was clean and the host was GREAT! We aren't camping professionals, so we had quite an adventure. The road to the campground was detoured and we should've just turned around and taken the route behind the hospital. Instead, we took the next turn into the neighborhood adjacent to the campground and tried the rear maintenance road. DON'T EVER TAKE THAT ROAD. At one point I was going to leave the car there. However, in my defense, the gate had been left open and we saw people exiting. I'm guessing neighborhood kids did it.
We made it safely to the campground when I realized I forgot tent poles! The host had a spare tent, and I rushed to the local stores to buy another. Turns out no one sells tents up there except for Rite Aide, and they had 3 small 2-man tents. I bought them all!
All in all, we had a great time. I do wish parking was closer to our camp site, but luckily our friends had taken the nearby spots and didn't mind us walking through their campsites. Wasps are an issue. I loved the bear boxes and again the HOST SAVED US and was such a great person.
