Great location for bike and hike. Not far from the lake. The place would be much better if it had showers.

Great location. You have the feel of being up in the woods and mountains, yet if you need anything from town, it is just a two minute trip away. The bathrooms are kept clean, being cleaned several times a day. The sites are good size. Already making plans for next year!

Pineknot is awseome! What stands out about Pineknot is how well maintained and supervised it is! The hosts are friendly, but make the rules clear and they don't tolerate loud groups (music, etc) after quiet hours and will respectfully talk to other users if their group is disruptive. They even rake each campsite clean between each user. The place is run really well!
The campground is quite nice with most sites being shaded, plenty of trees. If you are riding at Snow Summit the location can't be beat--you can ride to and from the bike park from your campsite. The campsite is right on the edge of town and adjacent to Snow Summit so if you are looking for a backwoods, away-from-it-all feel this might be lacking. However, so long as you aren't in the first row of sites next to the road, it is very easy to forget that you're right next to town (and within 10 minutes of being able to buy whatever you forgot to bring)

The camp host was amazing! He was super helpful and has a great personality. The bathrooms were super clean too. Plus it’s literally right next to the bike park so that was super convenient. Would highly recommend staying and will definitely come back!

I was concerned about noise and traffic being so close to town. Much to my delight the camp was very quiet. The camp Host was amazingly friendly and helpful (someone didn't move out of my reserved site so he located me to a nicer spot.) Pineknott Campground should be called Jeffery pines because it's surrounded by the most amazing fragrance of the Jeffery pines - my favorite tree. All in all this campground is well maintained and again hats off to the camp host.
