I’m not happy with the online reservations and the no one answering the phone to help.
On a positive note, the park rangers Sean and Tom were hospitable and on task all the time. Truly appreciated their welcoming to the outdoors.
My family and I prepped for bear country …and guess what?! It turned out to be Coyote Land! Howling night greets were unexpected. Wildlife was frightening yet I must say -beautiful indeed. As eye opening as listening to the loud pack of coyotes was, a night owl heard hooting calmed the vibes and called for dozing off peacefully.
Fishing at Big Bear Lake was a nice sun setting experience. Clouds of annoying bugs were cured by bats flying over the lake and us watching the bats consume the bugs. A duck ducking into the water, swimming underwater and popping out ever-so tranquil.

A place to enjoy whichever wildlife crosses one’s path.

It was great except for the crying and screaming kids nearby. Even as late as 9:30-10:00pm. Some parents just don't make their kids behave at all. Otherwise it was a very nice campsite in the pine trees with lotsa biking trails nearby. Maybe I'll come back but will likely look for dispersed camping nearby.

Great location in Big Bear, easy to walk places. Site was good. Its on the interior but pretty seperate from other sites, no issues with neighbors or anything. Couple nice hammock trees. Water and restrooom both close by and suitable. Sean the host was cool and working his tail off. Wood $8/bundle. Great place, will be back.

Within walking distance to Snow Summit and the bathroom was very clean. You have to walk down a little slope from the car to the camp area but it's fine, but not doable for wheelchairs.
