Awesome location! Close enough to town that you could snag coffee and breakfast, but far enough away that you had a quiet night's sleep. Campsite was very spacious. Lots of awesome hikes within a 10-15 minute drive!

Great location! Clean restrooms. Camp site equipped. I thought sites were more independent from others, but they are just steps away. Great experience overall.

Great site. We wanted to escape but have easy access to amenities and PineKnow is great for that experience. If you are looking for more of a city escape, maybe not the best choice, but for an easy escape. This is the place.

Neighbors were very noisy, even after 10:00. There was no one there to talk too about this. Being a senior and today's society I was afraid to go over to them to ask them to be quiet.

We camped at spot 41, which is considered one of the best spots at the campsite. Although it is huge and goes indefinitely into the forest, there is no flat and level place for a tent. We were curious about a trail going from our spot up into the mountain. Thanks to heavy rain on one of the days we discovered it was not a trail but a trench for all dirt and water to come down from the mountain onto the spot and our tent.
On the second day a huge group (dozens)I want to see of school boys arrived. They brought no toilets with them and the campground restrooms are obviously not designed for such gender imbalance.
On the bright side, spot 41 gets a lot of shade, we enjoyed the rain, had to wash the tent, now it’s clean for the first time in many years. Restrooms were clean (until the boys arrived), hosts were friendly.

Campers are really loud. It seems everyone and music blasting. The bathroom were poor and unmaintained.
People left there food out and the campsite would be littered with trash from all creatures digging through. Would have been better if people just respected the area more.

We have stayed in Pine Knot before. It's a quiet peaceful place with friendly people. The facilities are convenient and well maintained. Definitely a "must stay at" on any campers list.
