Fantastic campground! The campground was spotless & well maintained. We had site 39 and it was exactly what we needed, shady, somewhat secluded (further from the road than most sites) close enough to the restrooms etc. Also worth noting that the camp host was SO helpful and friendly, we would really like to thank him for his willingness to go above and beyond any time we had questions! We will be back.

Very clean, campers respect 10pm quiet time, the camp host nice guy. Our site #73 huge but no privacy. Over all it was a great experience.

I wish this campground had a bit more privacy. However, the bathrooms were relatively clean with running water. Plenty of places to get water for dishes and whatnot. Everyone seemed to abide by the quiet time. The campground itself is nearby hiking spots. We went to Castle Peak which was pretty tough! Walked upwards for about a mile until my teens grumbled too much and we turned around. But the kids had fun going on nature walks up near the ski area. Lots of bugs and birds to look at. When we stayed in mid/late May it was still COLD at night. During the day though, we were in shorts and t-shirts.

Great place to camp, near a lot of fun things to do like kayak on big bear and visit the town. There's a cute ice cream and candy shop in the big bear town, it can get a bit packed but it's worth the wait. We went when they were having a Spartan race during the summer (right next to the camp grounds) on what would be the ski slopes, we were able to sign our kids up 10 mins before the kid Spartan race and they had a blast! Highly recommended pineknot.

Very clean, the host was very professional, kept all the sights looking great. Easy to get to, fire pits we clean, bathrooms were tidy. Perfect location for trails and MTB

I liked the place...very quiet, accessible to other nearby places when I forgot or needed something. Shaun was very pleasing, he daily past by to check if there was anything I need. I would definitely come back knowing that restrooms where around the area and water faucets were a quick access, too. Most importantly, I felt safe day and night I spent there. Thanks Pineknot!
