This is our second time staying here. On our first trip, we stayed in spot #45. Great spot up on a little hill and is considered one of the best at Pineknot due to the privacy. However, this time around, we decided to stay in spot #19. We loved it and in our opinion, is even better than #45. This is our #1 spot now. Super private and is down a little hill. The tent location is a little past the campfire and eating area, which was nice. Plus being next to the restrooms was a big plus. Lots of trees and nature and you don't hear any neighbors. On the downside, I am shocked the restrooms do not have seat covers. Really??? I sucks having to lay out toilet paper on the seats just to sit. Come on guys, get some toilet seat covers. Additionally, the water pressure for the sink in the womens restroom was very low. The mens room had plenty of pressure. Might want to look into that.
Other than that, we love this place. Looking forward to camping here again next year.

I camped during the week in site 02. I was surprised how quiet the site was given it’s location. Restrooms were clean. Camp hosts were friendly. I’ll come back here during the week.

very loud. People singing ( Opera ) loud enough for entire campground to hear till after midnight. (entire campground... no kidding)
then another person splitting wood with a sledge hammer and wedge till 12:30 am Friday night and till 11 pm Saturday night.
No flat areas for tents. Sites not well defined. confusion with neighbors . Bathrooms where clean. Close to town.

This is a lovely campground! the camp host was very personable and the camp sites are nice and big. the parking spaces are a bit tight, if you are pulling a rig or in a motorhome. it took some serious maneuvering to get our 24' Toy hauler in, and then we had to park separately as both the trailer and vehicle wouldn't fit into one space. however please don't let this detour you from this amazing location - full of beautiful trees!!
one comment on the website - it doesn't have a good map on showing which sites are next to each other. we booked site 5 & 6 because they appear next to each other online but in reality they are across from each other and we should've picked site 4 & 5. but really all the sites are so nice that we came home from our trip in August and immediately booked another trip in October. its a really nice walk through the campground, so grab your camp map, and mark the spots you like best :)

From I-10 in Redlands, take Highway 330 to Highway 18 in Running Springs. Continue east on Highway 18 at Big Bear Lake Dam, go straight at the dam and follow Highway 18. Turn onto Summit Boulevard and continue to a block wall. Turn left into the campground.
Pineknot is located near State Route 38, which provides access to the greater highway network. It is approximately 10 miles from Interstate 10 to the south.
Elevation: 2123 feet
6 mi drive to downtown Fawnskin (about 14 min)
Policies & Rules
General
- In accordance with standard industry practices, Mountain Top Recreation will be assessing a $8 additional vehicle fee on the second vehicle in each single family campsite, and on the third and fourth vehicles in any double family campsite, provided these vehicles are not joined to the first vehicle by a hitch and towed onto the site. In the case of motorcycles, the first two are considered to be one vehicle and the third and fourth are also considered to be one vehicle. No additional vehicle fees are collected for bicycles. The fee will be collected at the Campground.
- RV Length: Limited turnaround space restricts RVS longer than 25 feet.

- Fire restrictions may be imposed at any time due to hot, dry weather conditions, at which time campfires and charcoal fires may not be allowed
- Recent bear activity in this campground. You are rquired to put your food in the bear box we provide. Do not leave any food in your tent.
