Stayed here 2 years in a row now; it was a wonderful experience both times. Helpful host, well-kept facilities, and central location to town. Beautiful place to stay!

Nice little getaway. Clean camp sites with bear lockers. Which we didnt really need. Did see coyotes though. Didn't see or hear about any bears. Bathrooms clean and well stock, but only one stall per bathroom. Close to city but you dont hear traffic. Has bbq but brought my own, and fire pit. Has a camp host which does sell firewood. $8. Overall real nice place to stay. Went paddle boarding and kayaking at Caption Johns. Rode bikes and went on a night hike. Will be back.

Host Sean (sp?) is great. Did some card tricks for the kids. Clean, actually a nice quiet weekend (not the occasional loud party.

Very nice and well organized camping area.
Location is absolutely excellent right next to snow summit, a few minutes drive from downtown Big Bear but yet in the middle of the woods. Beautiful area! Totally worth it! Kids loved it! We will come back!

The camphost Sean, is always fantastic. Always there to greet you, remembers you from past visits, and always maintains Pineknot. The sites are always raked, clean, and ready for the family. Stellar. Thanks Sean!

All the joys of camping next to the convenience of town! The campground is beautiful—full of big trees, with a view of the opposite ridge of mountains. And yet you can walk to restaurants, convenience stores, etc. in 15 minutes or so. We enjoyed exploring the town of Big Bear Lake and going fishing and hiking. We even drove a few minutes to a nearby water slide park and spent a few hours there. This campground is good if you have kids and/or feel iffy about being too far away from things like cell reception, urgent care, or stores.
