What Guests Are Saying

Forbes Creek is a great and private camping location, ideal for large groups and families, with spacious sites like Madrone that feature picnic tables, grills, and clean bathrooms. Reviewers appreciated the well-maintained facilities and enjoyed their time despite a last-minute fire restriction that impacted grilling plans. Overall, it's a highly recommended spot for family camping experiences.

Great place and very private for groups.
We alway loved this location.
This was our First Church Family Camp.

Unfortunately (reason for 4 stars), the day before our trip, a fire restriction was enforced for the campground, even having fire rings were not safe enough for a bonfire. We had already bought lots of things and planned on grilling but all of that took a bad turn because of the restriction. We had to scramble at camp to make things work for a large group of campers.

Besides the fire restriction put in place literally the day before, the location is always a great place to camp for large groups.

We camped at the Madrone site with our family. The site is spacious and definitely can accommodate a big family. Has many picnic tables, grills, and a huge fire pit. Bathrooms were clean upon arrival and didn’t smell too bad. Note there is no cell service in the area. Overall, really enjoyed our time there with our family.

Wasps and BEARS!. The destroyed the garbage at the camp next to us. Glad we used it for camping instead of a small wedding as initially planned.

We stayed in the Madrone site and it was very spacious with several level spots for both RVs and tents of which most were shady. There are several picnic tables and grills and a really big central fire pit which was great for an evening hang out. Our only issue is that there were several bags of trash in the bear boxes when we arrived which was really rude of the previous campers. If you stay here please clean up after yourselves.
