What Guests Are Saying
French Meadows offers a beautiful and remote camping experience with clean facilities, spacious sites, and easy access to a lovely lake for swimming and kayaking. Campers appreciate the quiet atmosphere and helpful staff, though some note that the roads can be challenging and the descent to the water is steep and rocky, making it less suitable for families with young children. Overall, visitors enjoy the scenic views, cleanliness, and tranquility of the campground.

Overall a good campground that is well maintained. Our campsite had good space and shade. Easy water access and bathroom access. Bathrooms have running water but no light. We had a couple of very noisy neighbors and it seems like it gets rowdier on the weekends but quieter during the weekdays. Walk to the water is pretty easy but there aren't clear trails/paths to it, you kind of weave your way through. No phone connectivity so be prepared for that. Our campground also had a lot of mosquito activity.

Went here coincidentally during a heatwave. Loved swimming in the lake which is icy cold. You can fish or kayak etc. However, mosquitos were an issue & you should bring your own water (or good filter). The water source here is limited and the water coming out had a white hue to it.

This was one of the best camp sites. Very well maintained with clean and flushable toilets. Easy access to reservoir where water was super clean and comfortable during our stay in July. We enjoyed soaking in the water and others with Kayaks and Stand up boards seemed to have fun with the accessibility for those activities.

Everything at the campsite was great, we have a small trailer and tried to use the dump and it was locked up and no one around, only thing that wasn’t excellent!
