Giant Gap is a well-maintained campground with clean restrooms and campsites, providing a peaceful atmosphere and beautiful scenery near the lake. Many guests appreciate the cleanliness and upkeep, along with the enjoyable lake activities and hiking trails. However, some concerns include occasional restroom odors, limited shade due to tree removal, and the absence of a camp host at night, which can impact safety and noise management. 4th of July Weekend. Camp Hosts were there but super lazy. Bathrooms were frequently out of toilet paper. ZERO firewood was available from Thur-Sun. If you're reading this, bring your own wood because you can't rely on these camp hosts to chain saw any for you like they normally do. Campsites weren't picked up for the incoming campers - garbage left out and fire pits loaded with ash. I get that this was the 4th of July, but the significant noise was well past 11pm (including fireworks!) and not addressed by the camp hosts at all. We've camped here for well over a decade and frequently during the 4th of July weekends over the years and this was the worst. Super disappointing.

This is a great site for a group. Easy pull through. Only issue is there was just one bear box for a group of up to 12. Definitely needed the second box. No firewood this year. Lake was great.

We always love this place. Pretty clean, a little louder than usual. Didn’t see the host much. No firewood. Lake was great! A couple of really obnoxious jet skiers this time. But otherwise fun!

Great camp ground near the reservoir. Had bear activity around our campsite last year, but not this year. FYI they do not sell firewood and the closest place to buy is 20min away.

I love it!!! Psa don’t buy more campsites than you need! The pictures may look smaller but in person they’re a good size!

Giant Gap Camp was truly the best experience ever! The location is stunning, and the peaceful atmosphere made it feel like a hidden gem. The lake was absolutely beautiful—perfect for relaxing, swimming, and making unforgettable memories. We had such a great time and can’t wait to come back!

We had a great time but the bathrooms were filthy and the water was shut off without notice.

When we showed up, there was no running water. The camp host said that the water would be turned back on the next day, however the water as never turned back on. It was not turned back on until the day after that which was the day we were leaving. It made it very difficult to wash our hands or wash dishes.
