What Guests Are Saying
Panther Flat Campground is a well-maintained and clean facility, featuring hot coin showers, flushing toilets, and spacious campsites that provide good privacy. Campers appreciate the friendly hosts and the beautiful natural surroundings, including access to the nearby Smith River and hiking trails. While it can get busy in the summer and occasional noise from other campers or road traffic is noted, many visitors still find it a pleasant and enjoyable camping experience overall.

We had a wonderful time. The camp host kept the campground very organized and the bathrooms very clean. We will be back next summer.

Panther Flats is a lovely, busy campground located slightly above the Smith River. I would suggest improved access to the river for day use. There's really only one small beach available at this time and it was always full of people when we wanted to get to the river. Great privacy in site #9.

It was 7 pm and very dark already when I arrived after drive 10 hours. My reserved campsite was occupied by someone. There was reserved sign and my name but he doesn't want to leave. Me and my wife went to see the manager but office was closed and locked.
We found one FF campsite available and it was the last one. WE paid another campsite pay and we could stay overnight. When I met manager next morning, he said he went to outside for dinner at 7 pm last night. They refunded reservation fee into my credit card.
Money is not important at that night. If there was no campsite available, where we could stay at that night. Recreation.gov is very reliable, good online system. I hope them protect this kind of violation.

The best host I've ever experienced. He was everywhere, all the time, and he was helpful and kind and just all around terrific. The bathrooms were spotless, there was no trash, he was just really on top of things.
Also loved the setting, the river being so close, easy to get to hikes and mountain biking trails.

Camp sites are great for tent and self-sustaining RV/campers. Wood burning fire-pit with grill and picnic table at each site. There’s also well maintained bathrooms and showers on site maintained by the site host. Showers are $0.50 for about 3-4 minutes of water at a time. There’s an adjoining day use park that is a quick walk via trail down to Smith River. The entire area has a nice mature evergreen canopy providing plenty of shade all around and huckleberry shrubs between each site that provide a bit of privacy. Going here is what got me back into camping!

Nice campground with trees. Restrooms are cleaned every morning. Blackberries were ripe while we were there. Nice access to the Smith river from either the campground or day use area. Some yellowjackets during mealtimes.

Best campground, Best facility. Facilities were neat and clean. The campground host was very helpful. The calling center rep was kind enough to explain the surroundings.
