What Guests Are Saying
Arroyo Seco Campground boasts a beautiful location ideal for birdwatching and hiking, with clean facilities and friendly hosts enhancing the experience. While the campground can get busy and noisy, especially on weekends, many guests appreciate the vibrant atmosphere and access to nature. However, larger RVs may find navigating the access roads challenging, and some facilities require maintenance, but overall, visitors enjoyed their stays and expressed a desire to return.

It is a beautiful area and nice campground. It was cold and raining the 3 days we were there but that meant there weren’t a lot of people.
Currently there is no running water so make sure you bring plenty.
The campground hosts are absolutely amazing! They are helpful, keep the area spotless and care about the campground!

Very quiet in the campground and on the trails. Road in was in great condition and the campground was well maintained.
Bathrooms were closed and porta-potties were available instead. Camp hosts were very friendly.

The location has no running water. For $60 per night, they need to fix the water system. Definitely a disappointment.

This was our first time camping here. We came on a Thursday evening and stayed at site 36 in the primitive area. We had the whole place to ourselves. We slept without our rain fly on and slept under the stars. Cheryl, the park ranger/host was amazing. She told us about the various trails near by and was super knowledgeable. We brought our dog with us and she loved it. We went on an awesome hike, the Saint Lucia trail. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful clean campground. Only 5-6 other campers. Great hiking. Great place to be off-grid if ok with that for a few days...

Loved this site; rangers were friendly and helpful, recommending the amazing Indian road hike. This hike took us through an amazing loop of the area that ended up being my favorite hike of my California trip; starts off halfway up the mountains, taking you through the arroyo seco valley. At one point, you can go down to the river, at another, it takes you to the crest of a mountain with an incredible 360 degree view. Walk to the trailhead from your campground, since your car will be charged for a day pass if you park at the trail head.
