What Guests Are Saying
Arroyo Seco Campground boasts a beautiful location ideal for birdwatching and hiking, with clean facilities and friendly hosts enhancing the experience. While the campground can get busy and noisy, especially on weekends, many guests appreciate the vibrant atmosphere and access to nature. However, larger RVs may find navigating the access roads challenging, and some facilities require maintenance, but overall, visitors enjoyed their stays and expressed a desire to return.

We stayed in the modern campground from 1/12 - 1/16 and the bathrooms and showers (with hot water) were clean the entire time. We were also allowed to have fires in the firepits. Also, Lou and Sheryl were very nice rangers. It would be helpful if on The Cawatre trail, towards the Santa Lucia Trail, where the fork is, there's a sign indicating which trail to take. You either climb the hill or go around it.

Good hosts at the camp site, no fires were allowed. To cold, left a day earlier.

We stayed from 12/3 to 12/5. The campground was very quiet. When we checked in there was one other tent camper. Later that night another tent camper came checked in. The restrooms and showers were the cleanest of any campground we have every stayed. The weather was perfect, low 40's during the night and low 60's during the day. We hiked out to the gorge and came back on the Santa Lucia trail. Just lovely. Very few people. The camp hosts were wonderful checking on us several times a day to see if we needed anything. We can't wait to go back.

Clean, quiet, beautiful. Showers available, but mine was way too hot and not adjustable. Usually it's the opposite problem ;-). Other than that, perfect experience.

Been here 4 times in the past 3 years. Early Spring/Fall/Winter. Not crowded, clean, well maintained during those seasons. Friendly camp hosts (so far). The gorge is always a beautiful treat.

This campground is a gem. It is peaceful, quiet, beautifully maintained and the bathrooms are imaculate. The camphosts were delightful and helpful in recommending hikes for us, older folks. All in all, a great spot for our Thanksgiving holiday.

Beautiful and peaceful location. Staff was very friendly and bathrooms were spotless. Zero cell service and didn't expect to share hiking trails with deer hunters - will be better prepared for that when I come back!
