Headquarters Campground offers a charming and family-friendly atmosphere, with clean facilities and attentive hosts, particularly Candace, who enhances the camping experience. Many families cherish their time here, enjoying the beautiful river access and the peaceful surroundings. While there are some concerns about water quality and restroom conditions, overall, visitors appreciate the campground's beauty and are eager to return.

Campsite was literally no more than few yards away from a busy Highway. No barriers to protect you or your family if there was to be a vehicle accident or if a vehicle deviates from the highway. The picnic table was also chained up and anchored directly in the sun with no shade with a big bush growing right next to one side of the picnic table. Therefore you can even sit or use that particular side. The water out of the spigot available to cook with or used for a portable shower was horrible. Smelled so bad and had a dark yellow tint to it. It was gross. The bathrooms are all out houses. Toilet paper is available, but secured to a rectangular rod that does not allow the toilet paper roll to actually roll. It’s gonna take you a while to unroll some toilet paper. There’s signs about possible bear sightings yet the campground host allows the major dumpster to remain open for wildlife to get in to. Horrible place.

We’ve stayed here 4 times, one of our favorite local camping places. The 1st and 2nd time we had no problems. The 3rd our name was not on our reserved campsite, someone else’s was. Thank goodness it was a mistake on the hosts part. This last time was terrible. I reserve the same site every time, again our name was not on the reserved campsite. When we arrived there was a vehicle parked in the campsite, NO ONE WAS TO BE FOUND. The camp hosts put a note on the vehicle. In the mean time, we were asked to part in a site across the street. They FINALLY located the owner of the vehicle around 8pm, approximately 5 hours after we had arrived, and was told they were on there way to move it. They did not get there until 9pm. Needless to say, we had setup since the camp host weren’t sure if they’d be able to locate the owner. Both my husband and I were not happy with the site the hosts put us in.

Would like to see 6 person per site and no cars parked off asphalt be enforced.

Busted table. No shade but was stated that it was a shaded spot. Also water is not safe to drink, it's full of rust.
