We had the best time here. We set up our tent under the trees so it was cooler and we were walking distance to the river. We had kids with us and we all loved it. The river was far enough that the kids knew they had to go with an adult to it. The river was really low so we all got to sit in it and enjoy its beauty.

First time at this site. Very clean campgrounds and restrooms. The river is mostly calm at this site and very chill compared to a lot of other campsites. Camp hosts were approachable, respectful, and very accommodating for our small issues. Will be staying here again!

Experience was great at Site 17! Camp hosts were so friendly and it was easy to get to the river to cool off or to town for food (:
Pros:
- Parking could easily fit 6 motorcycles, or two cars.
- At least three spots for tents.
Cons:
- No shade. It was hot mid-July.
- A few ant hills throughout the site.
- No bear box at this site.
- Vault toilets ran out of toilet paper on Saturday night.

Great campground! My wife, our dog, and I stayed for a couple of days and had a wonderful time. The bathrooms were clean, and there were a couple nice spots to swim. Just a heads-up—there’s not much shade, so be sure to bring a some cover

Great campsite next to Kern River. Loop 1-39 doesn’t have good shade. It will be super hot in summer (July). Great in evenings. Sites 40 onwards have great shades. Toilets are vault but greatly maintained.

There is an extra vehicle fee of $8.00/night on the 2nd vehicle in each single campsite and on the 3rd & 4th vehicle in any double campsite, provided these vehicles are not joined to the 1st vehicle by a hitch and towed onto the site. In the case of motorcycles, the 1st and 2nd are considered to be one vehicle and the 3rd and 4th are also considered to be one vehicle. So the fee would be a single $8.00/night of stay for the 3rd/4th motorcycle. |
