Hosts were very friendly and always making their rounds ensuring bathrooms were super clean and stocked. After many years of coming here this was the first time we did not smell them from our campsite , thank you. They came around and we bought firewood and for the first ever we’re allowed to have an actual camp fire, the kids were thrilled. Camp site #50 was a good choice this time and well maintained.

Exceptional hosts who maintain a meticulously clean campground. Next to Kern River and a short (~10 min) drive to Kernville. Highly recommend!

Overall great campsite. It was right before the bigger group ones so some car traffic during check in, however was farther from all the other campsites so lesa foot traffic near us. Fairly flat and was able to fit 3 different tents and 2 cars. Only leaving 4 stars because the hosts were in general great until the last night when we purchased firewood from them. We bought 4 bundles and left the cash since they weren’t in their area then they came out and didn’t believe us when we paid for 4 and made us open the car to show them. A bit weird at the end thinking that we were lying for some reason.

Campost Colin was amazing. Toilets were spotless and he checked in regularly with us to make sure everything was fine. Campground was neat and tidy too. Thank you Colin!

It was hot. There were bugs. And it rained. We loved it. The setting was beautiful, the sounds of the rushing river, the beautiful night sky, and great company made for a wonderful trip. The heat, bugs and rain were just nature being nature and I won't blame the camp site for that. Our camp host was friendly, as were our neighbors. One neighbor did have a tendency to let their dog off leash. The bear box was sufficiently large enough to fit all our food. The bathrooms were clean and didn't really smell. Probably the only real issue we had were the amount of rocks on our site. And how our table was bolted down in an area with a lot of rocks. Would have been nice to be able to shift it's position a little. All in all, a wonderful experience that we hope to repeat again.

Small loop but pretty well spread out either by space or trees and rocks. Not all campsites have shade so easy up is a must!

Beautiful place. We couldn’t swim the water was to strong. We stayed in a little creek. The water was cool. The moonlight perfect. Everything about this place is beautiful day and night.

There is an extra vehicle fee of $8.00/night on the 2nd vehicle in each single campsite and on the 3rd & 4th vehicle in any double campsite, provided these vehicles are not joined to the 1st vehicle by a hitch and towed onto the site. In the case of motorcycles, the 1st and 2nd are considered to be one vehicle and the 3rd and 4th are also considered to be one vehicle. So the fee would be a single $8.00/night of stay for the 3rd/4th motorcycle. |
