Campsites very compact and close together. Grateful to be here in winter so it was not full. Kern River right behind site was beautiful. No running water - assume damage from the fire. No maps or information about local hikes, but we found our way to a great hike by luck.

Always enjoy the camping trips to Headquarters Campground. Nice and clean makes it a pleasure to go back year after year. The fellow campers are always good or I've just been lucky every time.

Our site was clean when we arrived. The camp host was very friendly and the campground wasn’t crowded. Excellent time 😊
