Very loud neighbors. Did not respect quiet time.

We finally got to stay here. This campground is close to everything. If I had a choice I would have opt for a riverfront site. I wasn't sure if we could pitch tents there but some sites you definitely can. Our site 7 and it looked pretty small on the map but once you get there, it actually is one of the best spots. It's close to the bathroom which didn't smell and we didn't hear much noise from. We got to pitch our tents under this group of trees that acted as shelter over our tents and made it private. Table they had on-site is pretty old. Plenty of space from others at this site compared to the other ones. Sites are generally pretty close to each other. Only downside was our neighbor on 8. Super loud and obnoxious. Got there after 10pm to set up and they were loud until 1 or 2pm. You can tell they don't give an f and they don't have camper etiquette. They also brought a baby who cried nonstop. Protip: bring earplugs.

Of the campgrounds along the upper Kern River this one has a few more shaded sites and us a little closer to town. Nice swim area along the river

A photo was not available to inspect the campsites that I selected. Thankfully we were able to move to other sites to some shade.

Someone was in our spot even though we made reservations. Our spot was made to look like it was closer to the river and it was right by the road. They should provide better pictures of where the spots are

Nice rustic campground. Tight spots, but we were able to squeeze in our 23’ trailer. No Verizon service, but only a five minute drive to the cute town of Kernville where we could connect at the nice park on the river, or at the local brewery.
Pit toilets weren’t very good (clean, just very old). Sad to see a fair amount of litter around the campground, which I found myself picking up (wish the camp host cared more).
