We reserved a space online (36) as we had been there 3 weeks prior to check it out. Showed up at 11pm and the camp host gave our space to someone else when they got there.
Would have been 5 stars had that not happened. Place has been great each time....just sucks expecting something and not having that met when you arrive. I prepaid online also, so it made absolutely no sense why he did that.

Headquarters is a beautiful campground along the banks of the Kern River. The site has clean vault restrooms. trimmed and healthy trees, and nearby stores & restaurants a couple miles away in Kernville. Access to fishing along the river or Lake Isabella is convenient.
