I stayed at site 22. It was right across the road from the bathroom and water faucet. It had multiple spots for tents. Not much shade during the day. The grill part for the bbqer was gone and the metal ring that usually is around the fire ring was also missing. So the "fire pit" was just a hole with a few rocks around it.
The water was very refreshing

Nice camp spot. Quick walk to the lake, complimentary bear boxes and the upper toilets were FLUSH toilets! The lower ones were pit toilets. Overall it was a nice place, BUT (and it's a big BUT) - there was no Camp Host and some campers took it upon themselves to have a Karaoke Party until 2am at FULL VOLUME on night one. And then on night two, it was the Rap Concert until 3am, again at FULL VOLUME! Nothing any of us could do - approaching a group (20+) of drunken campers would not end well for anyone. So a nice lace spoiled by some very inconsiderate campers and a lack of someone to keep a lid on late night shenanigans.

The campground was fine, the trash was emptied regularly, the bathrooms were cleaned regularly. The beach was nearby, and people were friendly as was our camp host. However, every night around 10PM people started screaming in drunken revelry that went on until around 2AM. It was wild and disruptive. That's what we get for camping on a holiday weekend.

Absolutely SHAMEFUL! You provide no supervision or enforcement of the rules. There were parties with loud music, sing alongs, screeching children and people riding around the campground in ATVs until 3am both Friday and Saturday nights. They had illegal campfires and were shooting off fireworks and no one was there to stop the insanity. We left 2 days early because we had an awful experience! Your should be ashamed of yourselves for allowing this to be the case in our public lands. I WILL NEVER camp in a USFS facility again after this. Absolutely RIDICULOUS!!!

We stayed in spot 29. Has great access to beach and boat ramp. Has a few good spots for tents. You’ll wake up to the sunrise and might want to plan that in as far as placement of tent to avoid the early morning sun. We had my Tacoma and was enough room for it to park, not much bigger vehicle would fit in parking spot. We had a great time and the lake is magical!

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Site capacity
- Camping, boating, and day use are only allowed during snow-free seasons.
Amenities
- In winter, snowmobile trails, warming huts, and toilets are available. The summer season opening depends on snow levels, and an annual event in July allows camping by E Clampus Vitus.
Fires & fuel
- To protect forests, do not move firewood; buy it locally and burn on-site.
