Loved both of my spots at the camp grounds. Staff was super nice and the facilities were kept cleaned. Close to town if you wanted to head there for food, drinks, etc. loved that you could walk down to the water or do a hike within walking distance

The separate charge to go to beach parking seems silly, and created traffic congestion.

The water supply lines which indicate "Potable Water" and then say not to use it....makes no sense.

The site we had was stunningly beatiful. It was a bit windy but not too uncomfortable. Nice to have the bear box. The closest restroom was a quarter mile walk which really had to figure in to a routine. Quiet time was supposed to be 9:00 PM. Our camping neighbors set up late in the evening and started up their generator. At about nine PM we walked to and from the restroom and came back to see the camp host just leaving the area. I asked about quiet time and the generator and he said he had it handled. We went to bed hoping they would shut it down but they didn't. We had to go over in our pj's and ask them, which they did. It was disappointing to have to do it ourselves after the host said he had it handled.
That night as I tried to sleep I smelled a disinfectant which took away from the beauty of the place. We will probably not return.

We had a decent spot, with an easy walk down to the lake. Parking at the lake is $10, even for campers. There’s a free dirt lot.

General

  • Reserved Sites will be held until the day following your arrival date. Sites must be occupied by the checkout time of the second day to hold a reservation or the site will be forfeited and released to other guests. Please call the office at 760-934-5795 if you need to inform the campground of an arrival time greater than 24 hours after your arrival date, or if you will not use your reservation whatsoever.
  • Please Note: One RV with tow per single site or one vehicle per tent site. Most sites can accommodate 1 extra vehicle that is not included with the reservation fee. In accordance with standard industry practices, Inyo Recreation will assess an additional $10.00 extra vehicle fee per day for the second vehicle in each single family campsite, and on the third and fourth vehicle in any double family campsite, provided these vehicles are not joined to the first vehicle by a hitch and towed onto the site. In the case of motorcycles, the first two are considered one vehicle, and the third and fourth motorcycle are also considered one vehicle. No additional vehicle fees are collected for bicycles.
  • This is a high elevation facility; please use caution when traveling from lower elevations; campground usually not clear of snow until late May or early June
  • Be bear aware; keep all food out of site in approved containers or locked inside your vehicle and remove all food from area after eating; always keep a clean camp and do not feed any wild animals; campground host has bear literature
  • Fire restrictions may be imposed at any time due to hot, dry weather conditions, at which time campfires and charcoal fires may not be allowed. For current fire conditions or weather closures contact the Mammoth Lakes Visitor Center, (760) 924-5500, or the Mono Lakes Visitor Center, (760) 647-3044.
  • Don't Move Firewood: Protect California's forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. For more information visit firewood.ca.gov.
