What Guests Are Saying
Oh Ridge Campground offers a stunning location with beautiful lake access and spacious, clean campsites, making it a favorite for families and returning visitors. Despite some issues with restroom accessibility and a lack of showers, most guests appreciate the friendly staff and the well-maintained facilities. While there are concerns about parking fees and campground maintenance, the overall atmosphere and scenic views make it a desirable camping destination.

Campsite was clean and campground was well maintained. The bathrooms were heated and I don't think they got more than a "once over" the entire weekend I was there ( only restocking of paper towels and toilet paper), as I noticed the same trash/dirt on the ground in the bathroom stall. Not a lot of monitoring of campsites - I had two different sets of neighbors with more than the two dogs allowed and multiple tents. One neighbor even had a fire, even though there are severe drought conditions and fire restrictions! Other than that, it was a great location to access Mammoth, June Lake Loop and the beach, and Yosemite.

The staff here is wonderful! They helped our group of three families to find space at the last minute and we’re friendly and understanding throughout the process.

Hiked at Black Point, north of Mono Lake, to see fissures.

Super nice campground! June Lake Beach is beautiful and adjacent to the campground. Bathrooms are clean and heated. There's a nice brewery in town with two excellent food trucks on site: one offers Mexican food and the other offers Hawaiian food. This is an excellent campground in very gorgeous surroundings.
Check it out sometime --you won't be disappointed!

We were at Oh Ridge campground site 59 at June Lake at the end of Sept. 2021for a nearby wedding and camping trip. This is a gorgeous campground with views of a crystal clear lake (with a beach; great for swimming, fishing for trout, picnicking, etc). The elevation is high and the birch trees are starting to change colors..in another month they'll be spectacular. During our stay we had many changes in weather from cool days to high gusty winds at night and snow flurries. Bring layers to wear! Be prepared for black bears and to store your food and smelly toiletries in the provided bear bins. A bear came into our campground more than once during the stay and the 1st time he broke into our neighbor's truck which had dry goods in a box inside of it. This scared us and we decided to leave a day early because of this. The town of June Lake is adorable and there is alot to do in the area including visiting Obsidian Dome, Mono Lake, the ghost town of Bodie, Yosemite (get reservations to enter!), Devil's Postpile and Mammoth. There is a nearby campstore that has most anything you'll need plus ice and showers. Deer walk through the campground daily and the chipmunks are plentiful. Overall, I highly recommend this campground but watch out for the bears.

A lot of sun, nothing about shade, more pines would be good.
