My site was right next to the water which was great. Lots of deer wander in the campground. The boat ramp was closed with no warning so that was a bummer for anyone who had a boat. Showers were not in service which was another down side. Just be aware before heading that way.

This was the 2nd time my girlfriend and I stayed at campsite 011 at Silver Lake and we had a great time. The weather was beautiful in May as we could still see snow capped mountains which were not visible during our previous trip last summer.
Thereβs plenty of fun things to explore close to the campsite like Fern Lake in the Ansel Adams wilderness.
The only downside was the showers on-site were still down. The camp host told me that they should be back up soon if they arenβt already open by now. We found a solution and paid for showers at the Pine Cliff RV resort over by June Lake.
Overall awesome experience and the dogs loved it as well.

Great location to visit many 395 sites. Plus local brewery and fine breakfast spot right across the street! The hike to Parker Lake is pretty easy. Visit Mono Lake, Mammoth area, even Bridgeport. A bit far for Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest -- try Big Pine for that.

Our first time up in the June Lake Loop area, it is so gorgeous up there.
The Silver Lake campground was really nice, our site #13 was very close to the lake and to the restrooms. I only wish that the showers were available during our stay (5/13 - 5/15).
I definitely plan to return and would recommend this campground to others.

Unfortunately the weather was not what we expected. However we made the best of it and my daughter had a great time. The camp host at the campground was super friendly and helpful! We have been going to silver lake for years and they never disappoint. From the campground to the lake to the cafe everyone is super nice and wonderful!
