I was in site #19 and it was perfect. Clean, close to everything, and well appointed. I was really impressed by the tent pads at every site! Very well maintained. Beautiful place. Just a quick walk across the street to the Carson River (which was pretty low this time of year). Also a nice 10 mi drive to Lower Blue Lake-spectacular beauty!

We stayed 2 nights at Hope Valley, very quiet and calm campground. FYI: There was drinking water but dry toilets and no showers.

It's a beautiful spot. Haven't been up here in many years and boy have things changed. Let's say
over the weekend there were a lot of families, lots of noise and things didn't quiet down until quite
late. If you want to fish better get up really early, cuz the kidlets (noise and playtime) will be over to
the river for the day. The traffic started early Saturday morning, lots of vehicles heading up to Blue
Lakes. The potties were always clean and well stocked. The tent pads were an excellent addition and
much appreciated. Site #14 was positioned really nicely and quite large. Surprised that it
turned out to be a double site with 2 tables, 2 bear boxes and plenty of parking area. We currently use
Verizon and it was a bit of touch and go, but mostly had a signal if we needed it.
