Cozy campground with access to amazing fishing spots and beautiful meadows. We stayed at spot 5, which is isolated and near the river. The highway is close, but hardly noticeable at night - especially when it’s tent time. Bathrooms are pit, but really clean and actually smell great. Camp host is very friendly and gave some local knowledge about where to fish (which worked out). There is also a neat little spot across the street that has food and good beers on draft. Would definitely stay here again. The place isn’t isolated or sprawling, but for a convenient spot in one of the most beautiful locations in the Sierra I’d recommend it.

Only used the campground for the night as a stopover, but we liked it. Spots 5 and 2 are by the river. The bathrooms have open pit toilets with no sink, but the one by us was clean and didn’t smell. The road is just over the river and had a lot of noise in the day time, but was surprisingly quiet at night. There were ppl fishing on the other side of the river.

In beautiful aspens with a fork of the Carson River running through it. Quiet and well maintained. Camp host Chuck keeps everything extremely tidy and clean, even the dreaded pit toilets!

The overall condition of the campground was good. However, the bathroom had a lot of flies. The location is very close to the highway as well as being on a steep hill. Overall, it was a good campground to stay for a night.
