Lots of shade and access to water! Camp host was friendly and gave us info when needed.

Awesome campground! Right on the McCloud River. Clean, quite, perfect escape from the Bay Area.

Well, it was too noisy or maybe we have stayed in the campgrounds offering more spaces between two sites, the toilet was so filthy, smelly, flies were swarming, so if you are a tent guy with a sedan, please be ready to use foul-smelling toilets. RV guys I think are like living in the palace on wheels so that won't be a problem for them. Drinking water, close proximity to McCloud falls, in the night it was pleasant for ears to hear water running down the creek.

Location is excellent, we went to all 3 falls. Lower/Middle falls are easy to walk to. Lots of people were playing/swimming in the water. Only complaint is that our site(18A) has no shade after noon.

Fowlers is my favorite campground. The hike along the waterfalls is delightful, but there are also parking lots near each of the falls for viewing as well. The town of McCloud is about 6 miles away and has a nicely stocked small store.

Very nice place. Trees and deer everywhere. 1/2 mile from the Middle McCloud Falls. Some sites have no shade and when we took our whole RV to the Lake Shasta Caverns and came back, the neighbors with no shade had taken over our site thinking we had left early. They were nice about it and they moved back to their original site. Also, there was a group of very loud, drunk girls a few feet away and they partied until almost 1:00 am so we didn't get much sleep that night and we needed to get up at 6:00 am to drive to our next destination. Other than that, the place is clean, beautiful, and fun.

Nice campground, right on the McCloud river. Bathrooms cleaned somewhat regularly. Good sized campsites, but small parking area.

10/10 Beautiful campground right next to Mcloud falls. There is a market and a gas station a couple of miles away and they have firewood! Check-out is a 2 pm which is very convenient. The camp hosts are very kind.

Fowler's is a great campground, nicely maintained, quiet and just a beautiful setting. With three waterfalls all within fairly easy hiking distance, and the McCloud river to dip into, this is a gem.

From McCloud, California, go east on Highway 89. Drive 5 miles and look for the Fowlers/Lower Falls Sign. Turn right just after the sign and drive approximately 1 mile. Once you cross the River Loop Road take the left fork into the campground. The right fork will take you to the day use/parking area for Lower Falls and the beginning of the River Trail.
