Beautiful waterfalls of course, and camp host is super awesome - she gave us the rundown on many other local spots to check out.

Lovely campground near the river and walkable to beautiful waterfalls. Campsite #2 was nice and large and had a big flat area for our tent. Only negative was that at times the toilet smell wafted our way. Would definitely return but choose a campsite further from the toilets.

I love Fowlers! Campsites are spaced apart enough for privacy, & there is a wonderful path leading to lovely waterfalls in each direction. Such a beautiful area, & many cool hikes & day trips around McCloud.

The campground itself was very enjoyable, with well-maintained grounds and a welcoming setting.

Beautiful campground. Plenty of room and didn't feel like I was too close to other sites. Loved the accessibility to the river and waterfalls. My site was along the walking trail, which sometimes got busy, but that did not bother me. Will definitely come back.

The hiking to the different waterfalls was the highlight of our trip. Meat bees were a problem when eating outside.
There is no information about what to do if you have paid online because you have no paystub.

Site A-9. Stayed for 3 nights mid-week. Host was very nice. The nearby toilets were very smelly, but it was just after a long Labor Day weekend. Sites were clean. Some yellowjackets but we brought a few traps. There are bears in the area and host reminded us to use the onsite bear box for all food/ice chests.

Very clean and well maintained. Camp Host was off duty while we were there. Trails are nice and the McCloud river was beautiful.

From McCloud, California, go east on Highway 89. Drive 5 miles and look for the Fowlers/Lower Falls Sign. Turn right just after the sign and drive approximately 1 mile. Once you cross the River Loop Road take the left fork into the campground. The right fork will take you to the day use/parking area for Lower Falls and the beginning of the River Trail.
