First time visiting manzanita, we stood in camp group-site 24,25,27. Best decision ever. It was easy access to the lake and 10 minutes walk to the market. Due to weather we couldn’t drive to see what Lassen offers. But family for sure enjoy the stay. Bathrooms were really clean, showers are under construction also the laundry. For sure we will come back.

The parking area would not accommodate our 24ft trailers. The site information on the web site was totally incorrect. The two group sites were not set up for trailers nor was the camp area set up for a group. There was only enough room for three trailers per group site. The web site said there was room for 4 at each of the two group sites. More importantly it was set up for tent camping not trailer camping!!!

These group sites are not set up for a group. They were just a number of individual sites next to each other. There were no common tables or prep areas.

This was our third year in a row at this campsite. We love it. The hike around the lake and kayak rentals are perfect for little kids. (Life jackets are included w the rentals.) Bathroom facilities are clean and water taps are convenient. Having the dump station is nice as well (we took our trailer this year, have tent camped in the past).

The soft serve at the camp store is delicious, but ice bags are really expensive. There is also a nice selection of souvenir gifts and a few camping essentials, but don't count on it for practicalities.

Take advantage of being in the park and get an early start at popular hikes like Kings Creek before the crowds show up.
