The cabins are small but modern. The location near the lake and camp store can’t be beat.

excellent stay! This cabin is perfect- exactly what we needed. It was very clean, and had one double bed and then room for a pack and play and a small air mattress on the ground (I don't like being double bed close to my partner). Picnic table outside to do cooking, and a fire pit. It is very close to the small shop, and there are pit toilets and real toilets about equal distance away. The lake is nearby, and it was extremely relaxing. There aren't a ton of people around, everything is spread out enough that you can find your own space. What an enjoyable place to visit. We loved Lassen National Park!

The location is fabulous —right in the middle of everything —and the lake is spectacular, especially at sunset. The cabins are super clean and warm with heaters inside. The beds are comfortable. I would definitely go back and stay there.

Due to snow/dangerous driving conditions forecast on the days I was scheduled to be there, I was not able to stay in the park as planned. It was too dangerous. I called Rec/Gov and explained the situation. I understood at that point I could not cancel, so I requested another reservation for the Spring. I was told that reservation dates had not been released for next year and I could not reschedule, so I lost two days of payments totally over $200. No credit for a future stay was offered.
If Rec/Gov cannot schedule certain future dates, they should at least issue credit for a future stay. Despite what I consider to be a shortfall on the Rec/Gov system, I look forward to my next trip to Lassen.

We enjoyed our stay at Manzanitas Lake campground. The location to the lake was very convenient for the Manzanitas Lake Trail. The heater inside the cabin was very nice to have during the cold nights. Bathrooms and the campstore were both conveniently located. We did arrive towards the end of the season, so many items were sold out in the campstore. Additionally, I recommend that anyone staying here, bring extra padding for the mattress as it is very hard.

We made it on the last day of cabin camp open. It was really awesome experience. Our first cabin camp experience and the facility was dustless. Everything was beyond our expectations. Propane heater was on and off automatically. We experienced the first winter storm in such a cozy cabin in the Lassen National park. Even during the federal shutdown period, the site was well maintained with nice clean bathrooms and 24hours showrooms.

Sweet cabins and cosy even though our propane heater ran out in the middle of the night. Situated by a beautiful lake and at the end of the season, and during the shut down, so not sure if it is always so quiet there.
Shocking to see how much of the park was burned by the fires in the past few years but still beautiful. Want to go back and see how things change!

Cozy cabin with heat (but no electricity even though I could see the old wiring there).
Good for family or a small group to relax and stay when it's raining out there.

Second time to this campground with my 6th grade students (Geology!). It's lovely, but this time around our cabin heat didn't work, blinds couldn't be lowered for privacy and the men's shower room was closed. Knocked on the host's door a couple times but there was no answer.
Would come back but with lowered expectations.
The folks working in the store were pleasant and helpful.
