Campsites are close together with no screening. Close to Summit Lake for nice walks and nighttime photography. Facing southwest across lake perfect for milky way pics. Can also hike from campground in numerous trails which is excellent.

We tent-camped overnight at Sumit Lake North -- we liked the size of the tent sites, and appreceiated the nice restrooms! Having primitive camping at a lovely lake, with fire scars around, but nice at the campsite, was just what we were wanting.

Lovely campground. You can’t beat walking distance to summit lake and a trailhead to many others. The drawbacks are that the spaces are *quite* small with minimal vegetation in between sites to provide any separation/privacy.
