This site was a pleasant surprise. It backed up to a large fallen tree which offered some extra space and privacy. We would definitely book this site again. This campground does tend to attract some campers that lack camping etiquette - loud nights and music etc. The pit toilets are never ideal, but they were relatively clean.

Nice place to camp. Bathroom facility was fine. More scenic area than I expected. Manzanita Lake and Lake Helen were pretty, and with just enough time for one hike, the Bumpass trail was really neat.

Nice campground, there are some dead trees that need to be removed.

This was a great camping spot. We had one bar of cell reception, a rarity in a national park campground - enough to text and call at least. There was fresh, potable water nearby that tasted exceptional! This campground only had pit toilets, so be prepared. There was a decent amount of privacy, and thankfully the neighbors did follow the quiet hour rules. Camp spots were nice and flat for tent camping. This campground is centrally located in the park, which is ideal.

Nice campground. Campsites are small and close together as expected in a busy national park. Easy access to the lake and trails. I would give it five stars except that many of the campsite vehicle parking spots have crumbling asphalt. They are not even close to level.
