Great location in Lassen with scenic views and close to Bumpass trailhead. The lake is walking distance and adds to the ambiance of this intriguing volcanic park. There were several hiking trails nearby, it's are 'go to' campground when we're visiting Lassen.

Cozy and small campground with basic amenities but a beautiful location. Can't recommend enough!

We were there at the beginning of September and took a refreshing dip in the lake. It was only a short drive from the campsite to the trailhead to climb Lassen. We found plenty of down wood to build a fire.

Campground was great. Nice sites. Easy walk to the lake and the day use facilities there. This my first visit to a NP where a reservation was required, no same day at the campsite. It appeared many sites were tagged as booked, but went unused during my two days there. Of course no cell service or WIFI in the center of the park, so impossible to check availability and book last minute. What a waste of sites for the public and loss of revenue for the Park Service.

Campground is well maintained and bathrooms were very clean. Sites are unevenly spaced - this one was really close to A18, but a good distance from A16.
