What Guests Are Saying
Summit Lake North is praised for its great location within Lassen National Park, offering scenic views, easy access to hiking trails, and a beautiful lake for swimming. The campground is well-maintained with clean bathrooms and a peaceful atmosphere, making it a favorite for visitors seeking a relaxing camping experience. However, some sites are closely spaced and lack shade, which may affect privacy and comfort.

A wonderful camping/hiking experience. The weather was perfect, mid 80’s. The campground, though full, very quiet, everyone politely keeping distancing in campground, on the trails and by the lake. A perfect experience at Lassen.

We were unaware that there was day use parking between our camp siteS 1 and 25 and the lake. All day people were coming and going, arguing about spaces and asking if they could park in our camping area as well. It would be more peaceful to have day use parking away from camping area.

Campground spacing is tight. There is not much room between you and your neighbors. Some campsites are laid out better than others.

Campsites were pretty close together if you are worried about social distancing.
