What Guests Are Saying
Oak Shores Day Use Area offers a well-shaded picnic area with ample trash and recycling bins, making it ideal for large groups. Visitors appreciate the cleanliness, friendly staff, and great amenities like a designated swimming area. However, some facilities, such as bathrooms and grills, are currently unavailable, and parking can be challenging. Overall, it’s a charming and affordable spot for a fun day out, especially in the summer.

Had a wonderful time at the Foxtail Flat picnic area, on a Sunday morning it was virtually empty for the first several hours of the early morning, I arrived by 9am and other visitors didn't populate the area until almost 12pm. My family and I had a wonderful time and enjoyed the jetski rentals. My only concern was the bathroom situation and lack of a place to wash your hands. So I recommend anyone coming to bring hand soap and extra water to wash after or hand sanitizer. I hope they get the real restrooms fixed eventually because using a portapotty is always such a terrible uncleanly experience no matter what because they don't flush.
