What Guests Are Saying
Hampshire Rocks offers a picturesque location by a mountain river with good camping spots and friendly staff, making it a delightful place for nature lovers. Many campers enjoyed the privacy of their sites and access to swimming holes, praising the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the overall experience. However, the constant freeway noise can be disruptive, leading some guests to recommend choosing sites closer to the water to mitigate the sound.

Amazing location, bathrooms were not tidy and were often short on toilet paper. I wish there was a notice that we could not buy firewood on site so we could have prepared before. Host was friendly though.

Nice little campground but the grounds were terribly overgrown. There were some areas where trees and shrubs had been trimmed and the trimmings were just left on the ground. I understand that there are only a mother and son manning this site and perhaps that is the reason for the lack of upkeep

Really enjoyed our time at spot 9. It was very private- we couldn’t see any of our neighbors and our campsite had a 15 step path to what felt like our own private swimming hole. We will definitely be back.

We stayed in site 25, and though the site was private and flat, it was extremely noisy with freeway noise all day & night, and our stove and cooking supplies were stolen at night. I wouldn’t stay here again and would advise people staying here to lock up their things during the day because the campsite is right by the entrance to the I 80. We were unable to find the camp host to talk to them about it.

Hostess was great. Site was perfect. Bathrooms a bit stinky, but always stocked.

I booked these reservations very early on when I arrived at the park I saw that my preferred campsite was marked as first come first serve served on the website also stating you must be there in person so since I was there in person, I switched my campsites after getting all set up I was told by the host that I must move because somebody was coming in. I double checked on the website and it still was stating first come first served must be in person to go to the campsite. Unbelievable I’m not sure who. Who’s booking people not using the online booking since I was told that was the only way to book it besides being there first come first serve. You need to get your act together when it comes to online booking.
