Hampshire Rocks offers a picturesque location by a mountain river with good camping spots and friendly staff, making it a delightful place for nature lovers. Great as long as you know what your getting into. I’ve camped a lot in many varieties of sites. This is close to freeway with noise but also has great waterfront spots. We always get spot two or three as we have our own private beach. I researched and understood what my expectations should be

Clean campgrounds, unfortunately our Family members had the very first campsite that fit their RV and many people staying at the campground thought they were in charge of the campground. But overall it was a great experience. Loved the river close by. Our grandkids loved it.

This is a most beautiful camping spot high in the Sierras right on the S. Fork Yuba River. Each campsite is isolated from the others so one does not feel your neighbors. It's close to Interstate 5 but somehow the noise doesn't penetrate down into the river canyon. The bathrooms are new and clean. There's fire rings and many good sites right on the river. Sadly there were no fish biting, but trying with flies was fun. It would be good to have a campground host since you can feel very lonely when you are the only other couple there.

Enjoyed this small campground very much! We stayed in campsite 6 with direct access to the river. Only complaint is the road noise.

The campsite was right by the river, but not too close to water for the kids. It was clean. Large enough for our 2 tents probably room for another tent. Bathrooms close by. First time camping there we will go again for sure. Weather a bit colder than we expected that time of year. Bring plenty of local wood. There is a lodge down the road with restaurant for those not wanting to cooking or you burn something. Definitely bring water shoes for swimming/walking in river. Lots of areas around to do short day walks with kids. Loved it!

This is a beautiful place for a low key camping experience no boats, no jet skis just relax and float tubes on the creek type river that runs though it. Great for little ones. I personally love it...

Freeway noise is SUPER loud. Even in our RV. Space 6 is probably the best

Everything was good. Other guests were quite. The campsite is very close to the highway. I thought it would get quite at night but it was still loud all night long due to many trucks using the highway.

I loved the river spot. It was only 5 min drive from the gas station market. Bathrooms were clean. Freeway was close, but the river spot was so worth it.
