What Guests Are Saying

Union Flat offers a beautiful location near the Yuba River, with clean bathrooms, tree coverage, and a peaceful atmosphere for camping. However, the campground lacks potable water, has significant noise from nearby Highway 49, and experiences issues with late-night disturbances from other campers. While some sites felt small and crowded, many guests appreciated the scenic surroundings and the soothing sound of the river.

The water is turned off and has since at least 8/15. I’d give it a five if they fixed the water. Beautiful river with a great swimming hole behind site 8 and 11. A bear came through the camp site next to me, so use the bear boxes.

Campground was clean and neat. The only drawback was no camp host, so no campfires were allowed.

I reserved sight 004 which turned out a bad decision. The tent spaces is filled with large rocks all over, protruding out of the ground several inches. There is no flat space to camp. Also the campsite is directly across from a road that heads up the mountain and Monday - Friday logging trucks constantly drive up and down the road making a insanely loud breaking sound. This made sleeping nearly impossible. Do not camp at this campground!

Our space (#7) was a little small but proximity to the river and toilet is great. Nice to have "bear box", table and fire pit included. Would stay here again.
