Buckhorn Campground offers beautiful views and spacious sites, making it a great location for rustic camping. Many guests appreciated the cleanliness of the porta-potties and the peaceful environment, especially during off-peak times. However, the lack of functional restrooms, noise from nearby generators, and occasional pest issues detracted from the overall experience, leading to mixed reviews about maintenance and amenities.

Beautiful campground with trails and plenty of places to ride bikes. Difficulty leveling the RVs due to the hilly terrain. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful campground. The generator for water was near the restrooms but we were in site 11 and couldn’t hear it. Very peaceful.

This is a nice campground but it’s not great to be charged full price when there’s no running water or bathrooms available. Plus listening to the on-site generator running all night - doing what?

Buckhorn is a beautiful place. Lots and lots of hiking, water activities and just general peace and tranquility.

Nice winter campground; quiet, peaceful, dark night sky and pretty lake.
The only negative was more Recreation.gov not noting that the bathrooms were closed and there was no water. This should have been noted.
