What Guests Are Saying
The campground was a fantastic first camping experience for the family, with a beautiful lake and a great overall area. They thoroughly enjoyed their stay and plan to return next year. Overall, it was a highly positive experience.

Pro - Beautiful campground and lake
Pro - Campsite was clean
Con - With a travel trailer the site is positioned to face away from the main campsite (fire pit and picnic table). Your trailer faces towards the road (and is within about 10-15 ft) which was very busy with vehicles and foot traffic as its one of the first sites in the loop so all loop traffic has to pass by.
Con - Holiday weekend + no camp host = loud and obnoxious people who don't need to be considerate of others and feel they don't need to observe the 10:00 quiet time. Had a couple very rough nights which took away from the fun of camping out under the stars and enjoying family time around the campfire (couldn't hear our own conversations). Solution = CAMP HOST presence.

This is a quiet, forested campground with lots of space around the sites. We felt fortunate to be able to have a campfire and lots of wood was available. Not much in the way of activities other than using the lake which was clean & warm & walking the path along the lake.

No camp host on site and bathrooms were not maintained. Other than that we had a great time. We have been to LGV before and always enjoy it! The lake water is so clear and nice to swim and kayak in!

I think that there should be more frequently scheduled services during the summer months. Restrooms and trash pick-up were every other day, causing a huge amount of trash piled on top of and around the dumpsters, which bears got into. This is detrimental to the bears! Restrooms were dirty and out of tp after first day, and we were the only ones wearing masks into buildings. Have never seen it so crowded. Social distancing away from campsite was difficult, as people along the trails and at the lake were oblivious. Camping is usually a time to relax, not so much this time.
