What Guests Are Saying
The campground offers a beautiful reservoir and many outdoor activities like kayaking and paddleboarding, with well-maintained facilities and a dedicated camp host who keeps the area clean. However, some visitors reported issues with a rude camp host and concerns about the overall condition of the campground, including crumbling pads and maintenance needs. Despite these drawbacks, many campers enjoyed their stay and appreciated the serene environment, making it a beloved destination for repeat visitors.

We have been going to Red Feather Campground for many many years, but this one was the worst year ever! We could not have any campfires, could not use the water or the restrooms they had portable toilets and sanitary hand washing stations and the weather was unbearable. Hopefully next summer will be much better. I would not recommend anyone go camping up there this year with the campfire and water restrictions. Not an enjoyable time at all.

The campground was relatively quiet, but the upper part of loop 2 has incredibly sloped campsites. Our campsite entrance was opposite of the way traffic is directed so we had to back the trailer all of the way in. The lower loop sites looked flat and relatively easy to access. I recommend those sites over the upper part of loop 2.

Everything was nice. However, they have to fix the restrooms. They are DISGUSTING.

Sites are generally very level; Reasonable space between sites; Bathrooms in good condition, clean and functional; water supply available, but no individual site hookups; trash disposal at dumpsters.
Reservoir is nice, with a gentle slope into the water, so good for little ones wading; not too many large rocks in the bottom; sandy beach in one area.

Excellent experience. Bathroom and near by water spigot plus dumpster available to deposit trash and a very large food locker storage. I highly recommend this campground. Thank you!!!

The road into the campground starts off paved then turns to gravel and back to paved. There are some pretty big potholes, but still a decent road in and out. We camped in loop 2 or loop E depending on what map you look at (sites #23- #60. ). The road in the loop is very narrow and there’s a pretty hard corner for larger rigs. Not impossible we made it in our 40 ft motorhome. We watched many other rigs slow down to a crawl and take it very carefully. It’s not for a novice driver. Campground was great!!! Yes there are bears that visit almost nightly

I loved it. The family loved it and we were happy that they didn't let the Corona virus impact our experience.
